I'M CRACKING

Image
I'm just writing this for reasons of transparency. My stance regarding Adult FriendFinder (AFF) since getting banned was to get back primarily to retrieve some of my blog posts. Also, I wanted to say 'goodbye' on my own terms rather than unceremoniously disappearing. After retrieving my blog posts, I decided that I didn't want to deactivate my account as I wanted to maintain a link to my blog. With hindsight, it would have been easier to have done a 'hello I'm back' blog post as I wasn't actually saying 'goodbye' in the only blog post I've submitted since my ban was lifted. Also, it would have saved me time stating that I was back in one single blog post than writing the same thing to many people in comments and replies on a multitude of blog posts. Since my return to AFF, I have been in lurk mode reading blog posts and occasionally commenting on posts submitted by my blogging friends. My plan was to resume blogging there if and hopefully whe...

MY 'LAST' POST

Image
Below is my 'last' blog post submitted on Adult FriendFinder (AFF). My original plan was to make my last post a goodbye post, at least until some serious changes are made to AFF's senior management. However, I don't want to deactivate my account as I still want a link to my blog there. The post is an acrostic - the message can be read by reading the first letter of each of the eleven bullet points. I wonder whether it'll get approved and whether I'll get banned again. My guess is that it will and I won't. ________________________________________________________________ TEN THINGS ABOUT ME Recently re-started by @JN63JPN after a long hiatus, @superbjversion2 tagged me to reveal ten things about myself. I'm going to reveal not ten but eleven things about myself for reasons that hopefully if not cryptically will become apparent. 1.  Joining the site in May 2008, I've been a member for 16 years! Initially I joined as part of a swinging couple, but the la...

IS ADULT FRIENDFINDER IN ITS DEATH THROES?

Image
Aerikvon's Death Throes by AerikVon : Having returned to Adult FriendFinder (AFF), part of FriendFinder Networks, about three weeks ago after my ban, I'm starting to believe that the site is now in its death throes. Though the blogs I follow cannot be regarded as representative of blogland, my list of followed blogs cover a lot of bloggers who actually blog as opposed to posting photos of porn without text or posting hook-me-ups. Before my ban, my guess is that I would have received on average about a hundred alerts each day. Given I haven't submitted a blog post since my return and my blog posts, which would have perhaps attracted on average about 25 comments, and given I don't submit too many comments nowadays, I should now expect about 50 alerts per day. But the number of alerts I receive are no more than about 20 each day. That is a significant decrease in the number of alerts I'm now receiving from what I used to receive. My observation is that bloggers (at lea...

WHAT TO DO WITH ONLINE ABUSE

Image
Yesterday, while on Adult FriendFinder, I came across an incidence of online abuse. The abuse took place on flannel_light's 'What' blog post. Her blog post wondered why some men posted rude comments on her profile after she posted a topless photo of herself. She posted the photo on her blog post. On reading her post, I left a comment stating that she should be able to post whatever photos she likes on her profile. While writing my comment, I noticed an odd comment left by COWBOYSRULE2024. I thought it was an unnecessarily rude comment but I wasn't sure as I thought there may be a slight chance he was flannel_light's blogging friend trying to be funny albeit in a very blunt way. I'm not going to repeat his comment here. Having left my comment on flannel_light's blog post, I went downstairs to wash the dishes. After about an hour, I returned upstairs and switched on my computer to check the football results. After a while, I logged onto AFF and immediately not...

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Image
I've now retrieved all my blog posts that I wanted to rescue from Adult FriendFinder (AFF). This mission was accomplished over three days. I've now got folders where my Amsterdam, climate change, Ess and Emm (a BDSM-styled cottage), Eurovision, girlfriends, Leeds United, sex clubs, sex parties, swinging and Tour de France blog posts are safely saved. Going through my blog posts - there were nearly 2,000 of them, I was pleased that I had kept an index of all my blog posts as that made retrieving my posts much easier. I probably saved about a hundred blog posts. One thing that struck me when looking at my blog posts is what a load of random rubbish I blogged about in my early blogging years. Some may say that very little has changed in my later blogging years! Having saved my blog posts now means I can be freer in what I write about now. I've got what I wanted from AFF and another ban wouldn't affect me adversely. In fact, I think I'd see another ban as a badge of hon...

THREE DAYS AFTER MY RESURRECTION

Image
Benvenuto di Giovanni's The Resurrection , 1491: Three days after my resurrection, I thought I'd update you all about my return to Adult FriendFinder (AFF). My main reason wanting to get back onto AFF was to retrieve some blog posts before submitting a blog post to say goodbye to my friends on my terms and not on AFF's terms. Bar for a final goodbye post, I have no intention of blogging on AFF until certain major changes are made to the site. Before returning to AFF on Wednesday, I was conscious that I needed to be disciplined in my approach so as not to be sucked back into things. In my head, I mapped out a five-step approach to my return. I always like to plan things! First, I would deal with any mail received on AFF's dating side. There wasn't a lot of mail to deal with. And it was easy to deal with because as I'm now a standard member on AFF, suggesting the site has refunded by gold membership renewal on the day I got banned, I'm not able to read or repl...

MY FIRST BLOG POST

Image
Now banned from Adult FriendFinder (AFF) - it's been well over three weeks now, I'm unable to retrieve my blog posts. There are a few blog posts, mainly the ones that took me many hours to compile, which I'd like retrieve. Stupidly I never saved them elsewhere because, again stupidly, I thought I'd never get banned from such an esteemed site. In particular, I want to retrieve my blog posts about my sex parties, swinging experiences and the the Tour de France. Do you save your blog posts elsewhere for safekeeping? Can you remember your first blog post on AFF or elsewhere? And, if so, what was it about? Mr first 'proper' blog post was on the 1987 film, Personal Services . The film, starring Julie Walters, was about Cynthia Payne, who was dubbed Madam Cyn when she made the headlines of national newspapers here. She ran a brothel at 32 Ambleside Avenue in Streatham, a suburb in south London. She also hosted sex parties; many members of the so-called British establis...
